SITIO LAMBID- Consistent outreach in the last two years by PENRO and YES-O finally brought the remote village of Lambid, Talaingod to the attention of DepEd development planners. From seedlings, to school supplies and used but decent clothings, the regular visits finally brought a school building for the Ata-Manabo children.

Soaked in rain, the PENRO workers and YES-O volunteers hiked almost 3 kilometers from the highway on September 12 bringing a caravan of goods and school supplies. But the team's exhaustion was dissipated by the genuine smiles of Ata-Manobo children and parents alike.

During a short program, YES-O Provincial President Mr. Stanley Manaay expressed joy in the outreach efforts. "Nalipay ko sa akong pagbalik dire kay natukod na gyud ang dugay na nga gihandom nato nga eskwelahan para sa inyong tanan. Akong pasalamatan ang mga magtutudlo nga mi-serbisyo dire sa Lambid bisan sa kalayo ug lisod ang dalan" he added.

He also expressed gratitude to PENRO and DepEd Division of Davao del Norte for including Lambid in their program priorities despite its remoteness.

Lambid Purok Chairman, Aleps A. Andilong was more than happy in receiving the team. The regular visits of PENRO and YES-O not only brought goods for his community, but a friendship and social unity for the environment, education, and peace.

PENRO's reforestation program in Sitio Lambid, Talaingod is pursuant to the sustainable environment goal of Kuya Gov. Edwin Jubahib.
